The group
The Zen Group of Industries, founded in 1993 by Milind Kulkarni and Rajiv Gujar. Sixteen years of manufacturing came before the first fan — which is why the fan business started from a shop floor and a machine list rather than a catalogue.
Jitamitra didn't start as a fan company. It grew, deliberately, out of a manufacturing group with two decades of engineering behind it — and it has built to duty ever since.
Milind Kulkarni & Rajiv Gujar start the manufacturing group that Jitamitra would later grow out of — the engineering foundation the fan business is built on.
Registered as a private limited company on 28 October 2009 (CIN U31908PN2009PTC134884), Pune ROC — the operating company that would specialise in centrifugal fans, with Anand Ekbote as co-founder. That period also began Jitamitra's long partnership as the Indian sales and service representative for Elektror Airsystems GmbH of Germany.
After two years of arduous R&D, the company builds its first fans to customer duty at MIDC Ahilyanagar — one machine, one operating point at a time. This is the year we count our fan engineering from.
Early on, the shop engineered, built and performance-tested a 425 HP forced-draft fan on its own rig — proof, from the start, that this was a plant that could design and validate the biggest machines, not just catalogue sizes.
Mihir Kulkarni — a mechanical engineer (B.E.) and MBA — joins Jitamitra. He takes on estimation, systems and customer relationships, and begins the commercial and operational modernisation that shapes the company today.
Custom-engineered fans and blowers across 30+ industries and 45 application duties, built at two works units at MIDC Ahilyanagar and sold from a sales head office in Pune — ISO 9001:2015 certified, CE self-declared, ATEX Zone 2/22 self-declared, and increasingly on export projects.
The dates above are the record. These are the three stretches they fall into, and what each one left behind.

Jitamitra Electro Engineering incorporated on 28 October 2009 with Anand Ekbote as co-founder, then two years of R&D before the first fan was built to a customer duty. The same period began the long partnership as Indian sales and service representative for Elektror Airsystems GmbH.
Fan operations from 2011 at MIDC Ahilyanagar, one operating point at a time. Today: two works units at MIDC Ahilyanagar, a sales head office in Pune, and 15,000+ fans in service across 30+ industries.
Proven on our own test rig, not just calculated — the discipline behind every fan we have shipped since.
A large forced-draft fan, engineered and fabricated in-house to a demanding duty point — well beyond a standard catalogue size.
Run and performance-tested in our own plant before it shipped — the same tested-to-method discipline every fan still gets today.
The capability to design, build and validate high-power fans has been part of the plant from the early years — not a recent claim.
