Quality & certifications

Quality, stated precisely — because procurement checks.

One page for the quality system and the marks that come out of it — in the exact words that survive a tender review. We are deliberate about the difference between certified, self-declared, and tested-to-method.

What each mark means

Quality system

ISO 9001:2015 — third-party certified. This is our only third-party certification.

Performance

Tested to the IS 4894 / ISO 5801 / AMCA 210 method, in-house on our 200 HP VFD rig. Tested-to-method — not AMCA-certified and not an AMCA member.

CE conformity

Self-declared per 2006/42/EC + 2014/35/EU. A self-declaration — not a notified-body certificate.

ATEX conformity

Self-declared, Zone 2/22, Category 3, per 2014/34/EU, where the area classification calls for it.

Oil & gas duty

Designed and built to API 673 as project-specific scope.

Welding

ASME Sec IX-qualified welders, with a WPS for every joint.

Balance

ISO 21940 — G6.3 minimum; G2.5 / G1.0 on application.

Fan vibration

ISO 14694 for fan-specific limits; ISO 20816 general evaluation method.

Why we word it this way

Certified, self-declared, tested-to-method — the difference matters

CERTIFIED

Third party checked us

An independent body audited and issued a certificate. For us that is ISO 9001:2015 — and we do not claim it for anything else.

SELF-DECLARED

We declare conformity

We build to the directive and declare it ourselves (CE, ATEX Zone 2/22). Honest, legal, and common for this equipment class — but not a notified-body certificate.

TESTED-TO-METHOD

We test by the standard

We run the fan by the IS 4894 / ISO 5801 / AMCA 210 procedure on our own rig. The method is the standard; the certification mark is not ours to claim.

The quality system

What sits behind the marks

Certified system

ISO 9001:2015, Reg. RQ91/11838, issued by International Certification Services Pvt. Ltd. (ICS), accredited by JAS-ANZ. Valid to 16 June 2027. Download the certificate (PDF) — no form, no e-mail address.

In-house test rig

A 200 HP VFD rig in our own plant. Fans are run to the IS 4894 / ISO 5801 / AMCA 210 method before despatch; customer witness testing (FAT) on request.

Balancing

Every impeller dynamically balanced to ISO 21940 — G6.3 minimum, G2.5 or G1.0 where the application calls for it.

Welding & fabrication

Joints made by ASME Sec IX-qualified welders against a written WPS. CNC laser cutting and press-brake forming in-house.

Customer assessment

Multinational buyers have assessed the works and the quality system on site — surveillance visits, witness tests, dispatch inspection and vendor-registration reviews. Customer names are held in confidence and shared, with their permission, on request.

Documentation

Test report, balancing record, WPS, painting record and the declaration set travel with the machine. Project-specific ITPs and QAPs on request.

Memberships

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), EEPC India, and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, where we have been a member since 2012.

Trade mark

The Jitamitra mark is registered, Reg. No. 1509918.

At our works

Who else stands on this floor

Customers witness the test. Partners bring their engineers to the bed. Suppliers come in and teach. None of it is staged — these are our own photographs, and no customer or supplier is named.

Buyer questions

What buyers ask about our quality system

The quality and conformity questions that decide a vendor registration, answered in the exact words that survive a tender review.

Are you ISO 9001 certified, and what is the scope?

Yes. ISO 9001:2015, registration RQ91/11838, issued by International Certification Services Pvt. Ltd. and accredited by JAS-ANZ, valid to 16 June 2027. The scope reads design, develop, manufacture and supply of centrifugal fans and blowers, allied systems and laser cutting sheet metal parts and precision fabrication, and it covers both manufacturing plants. The certificate downloads direct from this page, with no form.

Which standards do you build and test to?

Performance is tested to the IS 4894 / AMCA 210 method, with ISO 5801 on the same basis, on our own 200 HP VFD rig. Balancing follows ISO 21940-11, vibration acceptance AMCA 204 at the works and ISO 14694 in the field, and process fans on a refinery specification are built to API 673. Welding is qualified to ASME Section IX. The standards page sets out what each one governs and exactly how far our claim goes.

Do you allow customer or third-party witness inspection and FAT?

Yes. Customer and third-party witness inspection and Factory Acceptance Test are offered at no extra cost on domestic orders and add about three days to the schedule; on export contracts the cost of third-party inspection is to the importer's account. Inspection is by prior appointment and does not limit our warranty obligations. The inspection and test plan carries separate customer and third-party columns so your hold, witness and review points are marked per order.

Are your fans AMCA certified?

Jitamitra tests in accordance with the AMCA 210 method. It is not an AMCA Certified Ratings Programme licensee and carries no AMCA seal, and the correct wording on any document is tested in accordance with AMCA 210. We are deliberate about this because the two phrases mean different things on a tender review.

Are your products CE marked and ATEX certified?

CE and ATEX are self-declared under the manufacturer's sole responsibility, with no notified body, which is the correct legal route for this equipment class. ATEX is Group II Category 3 only, covering Zone 2 for gas and Zone 22 for dust, declared under Directive 2014/34/EU. CE covers the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU with a technical file. We never write CE certified or ATEX certified.

How is a finished fan identified and marked?

Every fan leaves with a metal nameplate riveted to the casing carrying the Jitamitra name, the job number, the model, the design duty of air flow, static pressure and temperature, fan and motor speed, motor rating, arrangement, direction of rotation and discharge orientation, and the year of manufacture. Direction-of-rotation arrows and lifting points are painted on the casing. The job number is the single traceability key linking the GA drawing, the material certificates, every inspection and test report and the dispatch documents.

What is your complaint resolution rate?

100 per cent customer complaint resolution, per our ERP statistics. Complaints are handled under a written SOP with a complaint register, and root cause and corrective action are recorded and reviewed at internal audit and management review. Remote and technical response is within 24 to 48 working hours of a documented request, and on-site attendance in India within 3 to 5 working days of confirmation.
