A process machine at an agri-business plant in Maharashtra runs on a Jitamitra centrifugal blower, built years earlier. The plant asked us for a new impeller for it, with the installation done at site.
The blower's job number was on the request, so the new impeller did not start from a worn wheel and a tape measure. It was made against the blower's original job record: the design the blower was built to.
Our engineer then carried the impeller to site, fitted it, and ran the blower. No abnormal noise was found during the trial run.
The impeller is the part of a fan a plant most often needs again. When the builder still holds the job record, a replacement starts from the design the blower was built to, not from measuring the part it replaces, and it can arrive with an engineer who fits it.
